Starting as a UNICOR federal prison inmate, Steve rose to become a UNICOR federal prison contractor — a feat never accomplished by anyone in the history of UNICOR since 1934. He went from earning $1.35 an hour behind bars to generating $1.8 million a year. He took everything he learned inside and made it work on the outside.

Then the system tried to take it all away.

Steve fought back — winning custody of his son without an attorney, facing down opposing counsel and a biased guardian ad litem. Today, at 69, when most people are retiring, he is homeschooling his 8-year-old son, running a profitable business, and building a legacy that no system could destroy.
